Mick Harte Was Here by Barbara Park

My book Mick Harte Was Here by Barbara Park is about a boy named Mick Harte who died in a bicycle accident. My book talks about Mick's family's reaction to his death and how they get over it.
Mick's family's reaction to death was they were very depressed. In the end, they learned to be happy although they took some time to adjust. In all it was a very good book and I would recommend it to many people.

The main character

The main character in my book is Phoebe Harte. Phoebe is Mick's older sister. Shes only older by ten months. Phoebe talks about her memories from her brother and her and her family's reaction to Mick's death. Phoebe was in seventh grade just like her brother was, so they both must have been twelve or eleven.

My favorite part

My favorite part in this book was when Phoebe and her family got over Mick's death. That part is my favorite because I like when people are happy. I think Phoebe and her family knew they had to get over his death for themselves. Otherwise they would be depressed all of their lives and that would not be good. Also, I think its good for them to get over his death.

If this book were a series

If this book were a series I would read them. I would read them because its a really good book and I would like to know what happens next after Phoebe and her family get over Mick's death.

Least favorite part

My least favorite part was when Mick died. I disliked that part because I hate when people die. Especially if they are young children. When people die I feel sad. So I understand if Phoebe and her family are depressed or sad.
